In this session titled “Early Learnings Building Apps on Postgres in the Claude Code Era: The Importance of the Iteration Loop,” Paul will share insights from his experience building applications on Postgres with the help of Claude Code. He will discuss what the tool does well, where developers need to guide it, and practical strategies for using coding agents effectively in modern application development.

Paul has spent over 10 years at PEAK6 Capital Management, an options trading firm based in Chicago, working across multiple layers of the application stack with a strong focus on the data layer. He has also contributed to several open-source projects, including Apache Kafka and Apache Arrow.
