Prairie Postgres is returning to its regular meetup schedule with a two-talk format featuring Zach Paden and Anna Bailliekova.
Zach Paden will present Declarative Schema Management with pgschema, a talk focused on simplifying database schema changes. Many application teams struggle with versioning database migrations and maintaining long migration histories. Zach will introduce pgschema, a tool that allows developers to write pure SQL declaratively while automatically deriving valid online migrations.
Anna Bailliekova will present PostGIS Quick Start, a beginner-friendly introduction to PostgreSQL’s geospatial capabilities. Using transportation examples, Anna will walk through practical PostGIS features for anyone who has wanted to explore geospatial data but has been hesitant to get started.
